Mauricio Mendoza holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Musical Theatre from United States International University in San Diego. He also received his M.F.A. from the University of San Diego and the Old Globe actor professional training program. For the fifteen years Mauricio has worked continuously in Los Angeles appearing in film, television and theatrical productions. He successfully completed three seasons as a series regular on Showtime’s Resurrection Blvd., as well as one season on the Telemundo/Sony Tri-Star series, Angeles.

Most recently, Mauricio starred in the soap opera, HACIENDA HEIGHTS. Mauricio’s next project, feature film Nicky & Jackie, begins production February 2010.

Film and television credits include: Judging Amy, 24, King of Queens, Babylon 5, Numbers, NCIS, Lincoln Heights, Cold Case, Virgin of Akron Ohio, Just for Kicks, Everybody Hates Chris, Sueños de Fama, Search of Aztlan and Blow starring Johnny Depp.

Theatre credits include:
Water & Power, School of the Americas, Fantastiks, Nine, Into the Woods, Zoot Suit, West Side Story, Man of La Mancha, Evita, Zorro Live, Much Ado About Nothing, Taming of the Shrew, Lalo Guerrero, Fastasma, a 1940’s version of Romeo and Juliet, Ed Begley, Jr.’s critically acclaimed musical Cesar and Ruben, as well as director of La Posada Magica for Hispanic Arts Theatre. He often shares the stage with his twin brother Carlos Mendoza in The New Mambo Kings, a musical revue which he conceived and co-created with Carlos.
